The Lawtrepreneur Learning Community provides lawyers and legal professionals with the resources, guidance and community they need to practice effectively, deliver more value to clients and live a healthier life.

The coronavirus has exposed the failure of the legal profession to adapt to the modern economy. In fact, many lawyers and law firms are forced into making difficult decisions, as they try to adapt the traditional business model for legal services to the new realities of doing business.

The reality is that the majority of the legal professionals needs new non-legal skills to remain relevant in the modern economy; skills which simply are not taught in law schools nor by the majority of employers. In fact, for most lawyers and the legal profession, finding the training needed is almost impossible.

Connecting forward thinking lawyers with the experience and wisdom of instructors committed to the modernization of legal practice, the Lawtrepreneur Learning Community sparks new conversations and creates new relationships critical to the transformation of the legal profession. We believe these conversations and relationships are critical to a lawyer’s ability to practice efficiently, deliver more value to clients and lead a more balanced life.

our mission statement

We are living in an age of rapid social, cultural and technological change. These changes impact how we live and work; impacts which are only made more visible by the social and political response to the pandemic.

We believe lawyers need to adapt their legal practices to how society lives and works. Unfortunately, the pandemic has only demonstrated the failure of the majority of the legal profession to adapt to the new way of doing business.

The reality is that to modernize their legal practices, lawyers need a practice modernization strategy. This strategy requires the development of non-legal skills; skills which are not taught in law schools nor by the majority of employers.

 The Lawtrepreneur Learning Community connects forward thinking lawyers with the experience and guidance of experienced instructors so that lawyers can design their own personal practice modernization strategy so that they are better able to practice efficiently, deliver more value to clients and lead a more balanced life.

Whether it be as lawyers or as children, our learning is often influenced by the lessons we take away from our failures and mistakes. These lessons are in fact critical when it comes to any innovation initiative: we have to be able to use failures to find success.

The Lawtrepreneur Learning Community helps lawyers make a realistic assessment of the risks associated with innovation and take active steps to mitigate those risks.

For too long, the legal profession has failed to support the careers and success of its female and racialized members. As a consequence, members of these communities have left the profession. The legal community and the public is poorer for their absence. 

The Lawtrepreneur Learning Community strives to be a place where every lawyer has access to information that helps them design a strategy to succeed in their legal careers, regardless of age, race, gender and sexual orientation.

All payments in the Lawtrepreneur Learning Community are in USD.

Sorry, Canadians, but the majority of our suppliers and contractors receive payments in USD. That said, we have factored in the exchange rate when it comes to setting all our prices.

The Lawtrepreneur Learning Community is run by a small team.

We aren’t funded by venture capital, angel investors, etc.

The monies you pay to the Community are used to pay for the digital infrastructure underpinning the Learning Community - which is pretty significant - and high quality content relevant to the design and development of an effective practice modernization strategy.

We are responsible for your experience on the platform.

We are in control of your personal information.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

At this point in time, we are not able to offer a refund on Founding Member memberships.

LEARNING EXPERIENCES

While we may provide suggested pricing to the Instructor, the Instructor controls all pricing decisions.

All payments are in USD.

Sorry Canadians, but the majority of our suppliers and bills are in USD.

Your Instructor is paid the majority of your registration fee.

The remaining amounts are used to pay for the digital infrastructure and other costs associated with the Community or reinvested into its growth.

Your Instructor will be responsible for your learning experience.

Your instructor is responsible for your learning experience. So when you purchase your learning experience, your personal information will automatically be sent to the instructor.

We store your personal information for the purposes of processing refunds and get your feedback about the learning experience. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

You have seven days from the date of purchase to explore the first two modules of your learning experience.

We will not be able to refund your purchase after these seven days or if you watch more than two modules.
